Hi~
My name is Jayne King, and I am the owner of WOA. I love the outdoors and feel a sense of calmness when in the mountains. The mountains feed my spirit. My greatest wish is to help others to experience that same sense of calmness and connection to nature.

As an avid hiker with more than twenty years experience, I have hiked all 48 four-thousand footers in New Hampshire, the five in Vermont, and all fourteen in Maine. I know many of the different trails leading up to the summits and am very familiar with New England trail systems. In addition, I have organized and led many successful backpacking trips in New England.

I am also an expert skier and have skied everywhere in New England, including Tuckerman’s Ravine, along with many areas in Colorado, Utah, California, Wyoming, Montana, British Columbia, Alberta, Switzerland, and France.
I love the freedom that downhill brings. On one run I'm in my element speeding down a corduroy groomer, on another I'm up to my knees in powder in the trees. It is a wonderfully individual sport, yet riding the lifts together and laughing over dinner later makes the day complete.

Women seem to always be the ones doing for others and it is my mission to take you on a trip and do for you. Everything will be planned out and all you have to do is book the trip, pull some clothes and gear together, and show up! The leaders will take care of everything else. Leave your stressors at home, bring a willingness to meet new people who like the same things, and a smile.

All guides of WOA follow my vision: As your guides, our goal is to make sure that everyone is part of the group and feels comfortable and safe. With the understanding that everyone goes at her own pace, we will make sure no one is left behind. We have Wilderness First Aid certification, are intuitive to others’ needs, and always the first to lend a hand.

Rest assured, you will be in good hands with WOA.
