The mystery ski weekend can be any one of several resorts in VT, NH, or ME.
It might be Okemo VT, Saddleback Maine, Waterville Valley NH, or any other big mountain resort. Rest assured there will be a variety of terrain for all abilities. And of course, you will know beforehand where we are going.

Cannon
Made up of a mix of easy and challenging trails, Cannon is a true skiers mountain with day facilities including gear rental, cafeteria, and bar.
Cost: $65.00 includes transportation from WOA, lunch and lift ticket.
Greeley Ponds are located off the Kancamaugus Highway in the Mad River Notch.
This easy scenic trail leads to 2 ponds in the notch (gain 260 ft.), and great photo opportunities, including wildlife. Bring your camera and tripod if you have one.
Ski time is approximately 4 hours. Round trip distance is 4.3 miles.

Jay Peak Spring Fling!
Jay resides in northern Vermont only 5 miles from Canada. They receive more snow than any other resort in New England and have the only aerial tram in Vermont. If you like tree skiing, you’ll love Jay. With 76 trails and 8 lifts it doesn't get any better!

The trip begins Fri the 16th at 5:00 PM when we depart from WOA . Included are transportation from WOA, accommodations, lift tickets, breakfast and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday after which we'll ski some more! We'll arrive back at WOA by 8:00 PM Sunday.

North Conway weekend trip.
Either a day of downhill skiing or an adventurous hike up Wildcat is in store for you on the Saturday of this weekend trip to North Conway with us. On Sunday, look forward to either some cross country skiing or some snowshoeing on the beautiful Great Glen Trails. Trip activities will be better defined as time gets closer.

Saddleback Ski area is located in Rangeley Maine.
The views of the lakes and mountains when wrapped with a soft covering of fresh snow, are awesome. There is 2000 feet of vertical, 60 trails and 5 lifts.
This is an up and coming resort that is less crowded than most. They are a full service mountain offering equipment rentals, lessons, cafeteria, a pub, and a ski shop.

Sugarbush Resort is located in the Mad River Valley of Vermont.
You will be surrounded by beautiful mountains and quaint Vermont charm. The condos near the base of the mountain give walking access to restaurants and lifts.
Sugarbush has two mountains interconnected with a mile long chair lift that is like a carnival ride in itself! There is skiable terrain for everyone including off piste (trail) guided skiing. Check it out at sugarbush.com.

Sugarloaf has the longest vertical skiable terrain in New England at just over 2800 feet. When the snow really piles up there are snowfields (above treeline skiing) that are accessible via chairlift! There are plenty of runs for all abilities.
Sugarloaf Resort is located in the beautiful Carrabassett Valley of Maine.
There is a village with many bars and restaurants that are within walking distance of most condos. There is a recreation center with indoor pools, Jacuzzis, and steam rooms. Just down the street is an outdoor center where cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails exist.

Sunday River resort is located in Newry Maine near the quaint town of Bethel. There are 8 interconnected peaks, 131 trails and 18 lifts.
They have a beginners area, full lessons and equipment rentals. The varied terrain includes many novice and intermediate trails, gladed runs, and steeps including the steepest trail in the east- White Heat. There is something for everyone including a tubing park located near White Cap base lodge.
A mid-mountain lodge at North Peak is a good central meeting spot that has restrooms, a full cafeteria and mini-bar. There are several restaurants and bars in the area.

Tuckerman’s Ravine is located on Mt Washington, New Hampshire, with an Elevation 6288 feet. Mt. Washington is the highest peak in New England also known for the best spring skiing.
The hike into the bottom of the ravine takes about 2 ½ hours. After putting on our ski boots, we then carry our skis and hike up to ski down some of the steepest terrain in the east.
You don’t have to be an expert as you decide how high up and how steep you want to go. If we are lucky enough, we will be able to ski all of the way to the parking lot! In case of inclement weather, rain date will be April 10th. Includes transportation, lunch, and guide.

Wildcat Ski area is in Pinkham Notch New Hampshire across from Mt. Washington.
On a clear day the views of Mt Washington, Tuckerman’s Ravine, and the rest of the Presidential range are spectacular.
There is 2000 feet of vertical with all abilities including a beginners area, double black diamonds (expert), and everything in between. They offer a full service bar, a cafeteria and equipment rentals.
New this year, ZipRider! Take a ride down the mountain suspended over the tree tops; check out the beautiful scenery from a whole different perspective! Windblown Cross Country Ski area is located in New Ipswich, N.H.
They have over 40 kilometers of trails for all abilities. Some trails are designated for snowshoeing if you prefer. This year skate skis and backcountry skis are not available to rent.

Bridal Veil Falls, elevation 2100 ft. is located in Franconia and is true to it's name. It is an easy snowshoe along the back side of Cannon Mountain with one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the White Mts. Depending on what time of year you do this trip, the falls may be frozen in place!
Time is approximately 3 hours. Round trip distance is 5 miles.

Snowshoe rentals are available for a minimum fee.
Mt. Crawford, elevation 3119 ft. (gain 1942 ft.).
Crawford is a moderate hike with fine views in Crawford Notch and into the Dry River Wilderness area. The Davis Path starts on rt 302 just past Notchland; it has a wonderful suspension bridge to cross the river, and continues all the way to Crawford Path just south of Mt. Washington summit. This trip goes to Crawford summit.
Hike time is approximately 5 hours. Round trip distance is 5 miles.

Hedgehog Mt., elevation 2532 ft.
Hedgehog is located on the northern edge of the Sandwich Range near the east end of the Kancamagus Highway. This is considered an easy/moderate trail, but snowshoeing difficulty can vary depending on snow coverage.
Hedgehog boasts a clear summit with gorgeous views of the Sandwich Range.
Time is approximately 3.5 hours. Round trip distance is 4.8 miles.

Jennings Peak, elevation 3460ft. is located in the Sandwich Range near Waterville Valley, NH.
Although Jennings is considered an easy elevation, depending on the snow coverage, any snowshoeing trip may be strenuous. No matter, this trip leads to a beautiful overlook of Mt. Sandwich and the Drake River valley. With a pure white blanket of snow, you can't beat the views.
It is accessible from Rt. 49 in Campton.
Time is approximately 4.5 hours. Round trip distance is 6 miles.

Learn to Snowshoe clinic will be held on four successive Saturdays. We will show you the ins and outs of snowshoeing to a point that you will be able
to climb a small mountain. We will teach you how to dress appropriately, walk in snowshoes, and keep your body energized. We will provide the instruction, snowshoes and poles, lunches, and transportation.

Mt. Moosilauke, elevation 4802 ft. (gain 2450 ft.), is the westernmost 4000 footer in N.H.
Moosilauke has a large open summit with 360 degree views. There are several routes up this mountain, this one starting on the western flank, Glencliff. It is a moderate hike.
Hike time is approximately 6 hours. Round trip distance is 6 miles.

Pawtuckaway State Park
6 easy miles round trip (gain 600 ft), make this walk in the woods very relaxing and yet rewarding with awesome views. There are a few steep sections providing a little challenge and a test of your ability.
This southern NH park is off of RT 101 in Nottingham, about 25 minutes from our Hooksett office. We will transport you to the park and take you snowshoeing.

Mt. Sunapee, elevation 3200ft. is located in Newport, NH.
The back side is considered a moderate hike, depending on the snow coverage, any snowshoeing trip may be strenuous. This trip takes us up and over streams, by Lake Solitude and then up to the ledges which has magnificent views southeast.
If we are up for it, we'll continue to the summit where a summit lodge awaits with cups of hot chocolate!
Hike time is approximately 5 hours. Round trip distance is 6 miles.

Snowshoe rentals are available for a minimum fee.
Mt. Tecumseh, elevation 4003 ft. (gain 1900 ft.). What makes this mountain special? It’s a nice, easy, introductory high peak winter hike. It is the shortest of the 4000 footers in NH. The trail is 2 miles to the summit, nicely wooded, follows a brook, and runs adjacent to ski trails.
Hike time is approximately 4 hours. Round trip distance is 4 miles.

Welch/Dickey loop, elevation 2905 ft. and 2734 ft. respectively (gain 1860 ft).
This hike begins off of Rt. 49 in the Watervillle Valley area. It is a fine loop with many open ledges and beautiful views.
Because of the ledges, you must have or rent snowshoes with good cleats or crampons. It does have a few steep spots, and is considered a moderate hike.
Hike time is approximately 4 hours. Round trip distance is 4.4 miles.
